Tom Chase McKenney is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill). He was an infantry officer and parachutist in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Korea and Vietnam. Retired in 1971 for disability incurred in Vietnam, he is a Bible teacher and writer, active in veterans' affairs and pro-family issues. He is married to the former Marty McKinney; they have 4 children and 12 living grandchildren.

Marty McKenney, wife of Tom C. McKenney, is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, mother of four and grandmother of twelve. While her life-long interest is in the realm of history and our unique American culture, she is also a researcher and speaker on education issues. In more recent years, her focus has been on misinterpreted and misused passages of the Bible in the post-modern era. She writes opinion / editorial articles, including "Marty’s Corner" in The Good Word. ( See "Marty's Corner")
